The newly developed First Steps to Success Program was designed by the Ballymun Partnership Ltd and First Steps Ltd to meet a gap in the start-up finance market for the people of Ballymun. For many of our clients who have completed start-up business training the progression from training to business registration can be daunting. Therefore this program works to bridge the associated uncertainty and provides a safety net for clients to make their idea into a reality.
Click here to view a diagram which illustrates the process that the partnership implemented for those clients who have embarked upon one of the three business support avenues, as shown. In brief the assigned mentor will work with each of the ten pre-selected clients at a time which suits them over a six month period, allocating five one-to-one sessions to each, developing a personal strategic action plan and subsequent application for funding. If the client is not successful in achieving the funding other avenues of progress will be sought through their strategic plan, implemented as a result of their attendance on the program.
