Ulster Bank Business Achievers Awards Ulster Bank Business Achievers Awards

Ulster Bank are again looking to reward entrepreneurs who operate in our local communities and the spirit of entrepreneurial activity across the whole island of Ireland. The Awards are currently in their 14th year, but this year have taken on a different format, and are being run on a provincial basis.

The Awards are open to applications from all business regardless of all size, sector and bank.

There will be a total of 28 provincial awards which will be awarded across seven categories. A national final will then see all 28 provincial winners compete to become the all-island Business Achievers Award Winner at a Gala Dinner to be held in March 2009.

There are seven categories that businesses can enter, however they are not restricted to one category (if a business feels more than one category applies to them they can enter them all):

  • Environmental/Sustainability Award
  • Community/Social Entrepreneurship Award (Including Arts and Crafts)
  • Ethnic Entrepreneurship Award
  • Business Going International Award
  • Family Run Business Award
  • One to Watch Award
  • Best Business Start-Up Award

All entries will be judged by a panel of experienced experts, including a successful local entrepreneur.

A total of 28 regional short listed finalists will be selected. Thats seven companies per province.

These provincial short listed companies will be invited to a Gala Awards Night in March 2009, where each all-island category will be announced.

Finally one company will be crowned the all-island Overall Business Achiever 2008.

This is an excellent opportunity for businesses to meet and learn from individuals and other businesses who have achieved great success, and can be an unique opportunity for businesses to get the word out about their products and services, to people and potential clients, they may not have had the opportunity to access before.

To enter the Business Achievers Award, or nominate a company who you feel has what it takes to win a Business Achievers Award, please log on to www.businessachieversaward.com or alternatively contact enterprise@ballymun.org.
